Brenda Picknell, B.F.A, L.M.T
Brenda graduated from the University of Oregon with a BFA degree in commercial design. During her years of education at Oregon, she competed in both Track and Field, and Cross Country, earning All American honors, a spot on an NCAA championship team, and made the record list in a couple events. In 1999 Brenda was inducted into the University’s Hall of Fame. After graduation, she worked as a graphic artist producing logos for plastic cards with carious companies and businesses also continuing her running career through the 1988 Olympic trials.
A turn in career came when offered an opportunity in music performance. She followed this professional goal for nearly 12 years, singing, playing keyboard, and performing and traveling across the country. During her time as a musician and athlete, she frequently received massages. Also experiencing the benefits of massage following a couple auto accidents, Brenda decided to make the profession of massage her next endeavor. She went to earn credentials at the Cascade Institute of Massage and body therapies in 1996 and continued her education specializing in orthopedic massage and medical massage.
Brenda has three children. She enjoys any time with her family, attending their sports, activities, and watching them earn their own accomplishments in sports and music and life. Her hobbies are many: from music concerts, camping, skiing, boating, cooking and sporting events, to simple time at home with all her pets – dogs, cats and kids, and of course running.
